I have just found in my book this conjugation exercise of Louis-Charles :

Always also charming, and always this pretty writing! :D

But there are spelling mistakes..." nous somes" instead of "nous sommes" and "ils elles sons" instead of "ils elles sont"...
Was the former French written like that Pim (Pim the boss of the langages  ) or is it real mistakes?

I don't know about "nous sommes", Chou... I tend to think little Charles forgot an "m" here ! On the other hand, the missing accents might not be considered mistakes, I guess. Antoinette also drops them. Actually, I think orthograph was not fixed the way it is now.

Yes, I too think that. I compare this to the portuguese language, how have changed a lot in 200 years! I guess that french also changed...

Especially for "nous sommes", coming from Latin "sumus". Thus, why 2 "m" ?

In English at that time, the spelling was not fixed, so perhaps it was the same in French.
