Re: Cant Wait!!!! Does look good. Do you have the big Versailles book? I need to find something to read now that I finished Abundance. Did you read last Queen of Versailles?

Re: Cant Wait!!!! The Big Versailles book is not fiction, It is called Versailles and is just about the Chateau and Grounds. Last Queen of Versailles is about Marie Antonette I thought. Oh well I need to find a new book.  a very good book, something like Abundance, I want to feel transported.

Re: Cant Wait!!!! Do you mean the biography 'Marie Antoinette: The Last Queen of France' by Evelyne Lever? 'Flaunting, Extravagant Queen' by Jean Plaidy is not bad but she is quite hard on our "frivolous" queen. 'Farewell, My Queen' by Chantal Thomas is said to be very good, I requested it on inter-library loan a month or two ago - when will it come in??  I'm actually reading the Josephine trilogy by Sandra Gulland at the moment and it is not too bad - I never thought I would feel sympathy for her, but I do now after her coping with Bonaparte and his relatives!
