 The earliest Marie Antoinette novel?
I'm working on an article for my blog about the shifting perception of Marie Antoinette in fiction novels, and so far the earliest novel I can find featuring Marie Antoinette is Alexandre Dumas' novel Le Chevalier de Maison-Rouge, which was published in 1845, and was the first book published for his "Marie Antoinette series."
I was wondering if anyone happened to know of any earlier novels featuring the queen? Particularly anything that has an English translation, but I'd love to know of anything published prior to 1845.

Re: The earliest Marie Antoinette novel?
I know of no novels published at that time about the Queen, only mémoires or biographies.

I checked the Library of Congress online catalog--voila--there are a few titles prior to 1845!
