Book suggestions for birthday (Marie Antoinette books)
My 16th b-day is coming up in March, and I usually like to make a list of some books that I would like to buy at Barnes and Noble ( I am a book lover and so my dad usually takes me there for my b-day and lets me pick out books) ...
So, does anyone have any good titles about Marie Antoinette that I might think about buying? I have a fabulous book about Joan of Arc..but Marie is my true icon and would love to have a book about her.

Farewell, My Queen by Chantal Thomas
Marie-Antoinette: the Journey by Antonia Fraser
Both are good reads.

"Farewell my Queen" is the most beautiful portrait of Marie Antoinette I have ever read.

Yes, Farewell My Queen is very good, although personally I prefer Vidal's Trianon.

I ordered both of the Vidal books yesterday! One of them had been out of stock at amazon and showing a 7-9 week wait for shipping. But yesterday I checked and they were both in stock! Yippee! And they have already shipped. Now I just have to wait for them to wing their way over to Australia!
And I only ordered them because of the great reviews from all you lovely people!
