Re: Catherine the Great What I liked about this biography is that it was perfectly balanced. That I also read in the recommendations, that unlike many it deals with her as a monarch and as a woman not giving too much prevalence to her personal life which some other biographies do, neglecting her achievements in her first role as a monarch. Also it was quite easy to read so I would recommend it. Author is credible, which was important for me as I wanted that my first biography give me some good and accurate information.

Re: Catherine the Great Well, Baron is right. I am facing a bankruptcy ( wealthy baron have no such worries ), living in high society got me in the end so I am getting back to my simple roots.
