Do you know a biography of Pauline de Tourzel, the daugther of Madame de Tourzel? I realy don't know anything about her, and I would like to read something about her...

I've discovered something!

Marie Charlotte Pauline de Tourzel was born in Paris, 16th October 1771 and died in 19th July 1839.

She was the daughter of Madame de Tourzel, and she was her favorite. She was a good friend of Madame Royale, and spent with her the years on the Tuilleries.

In 15th January 1797, she married with the comte de Béarn, Alexandre de Galard Santo-Aldegonde de Bressac. The comte was a supporter of Napoleon, but Pauline remained faithfull to Madame Royale.

WOW, where did you find that picture? Is that Pauline and Madame Royale? Or Pauline and her sister? Who? What? Where?

Can we speak about Louise de Polastron?

I don't know very much about Louise de Polastron. I only know that she was sister of Jules de Polignac, Gabrielle's husband. She was named Louise d' Esparbès de Lussan, and was born in 1764. She died of consumption in 1804 or 1803...

This portait of Marie Louise Élisabeth Vigée-Lebrun:

I found the picture in ladyreading, forum.

The person that posted the portait wrote that it was Pauline de Tourzel and Henriette la sorella maggiore (who I realy don't know!)

I realy would like to know more about this portait!

I wrote about Louise de Polastron under the Charles X/Artois thread. She was the sister-in-law of Madame de Polignac. She was modest and virtuous and resisted Artois' advances for several years. She succumbed to his passion after bringing suppiles to the emigres while in exile. She went to Scotland with Artois as his mistress. She became ill with TB and after going to confession and receiving the Last Rites, she begged Artois to dedicate his life to God. She died and Artois never again had another mistress; he never married agian after his wife died. Louise was his one true love, and after her death he became a more committed Christian.

Henriette must have been Pauline's oldest sister.

We are speaking about Louise de Polastron, but I've only one question: Are there any letters of Marie Antoinette to the Princesse de Tarente or vice-versa?

Like the letters of the Queen to Polignac...I found Madame de Tarente very interesting. I've read that the Queen said that she was one of her best friends...
