 Re: Grace Elliott
Fleur, I did not see it there but have not had real time to investigate. For the life of me I can not remember where I downloaded it from but can tell you I first did a search of her name.
Take care, Jacqueline

 Re: Grace Elliott
If you find out where one can purchase these memoirs they would interest me!

 Re: Grace Elliott
I have read Grace's memoires and the film follows the memoirs exactly - almost verbatim in some places. According to her foreward, Grace would never have committed anything to paper had it not been for her gossipy hairdresser! Apparently they would chat as she was having her hair done and he was always keen to hear about her experiences in France. Now, this hairdresser also dressed George III's hair and he would recount Grace's tales to the King as he did his hair. George was so taken with these stories that he asked her to write them down.
The book I have is by no means a particularly old one - 20th century probably, so there should be copies available for loan or sale out there somewhere.
