:D i know the reviews of the movie are mixed~but i personally feel that the soundtrack is genius! i bought the 2 disc c.d and i am blown away by it~from aphex twin to the radio dept. and siouxsie & the banshees,it just ROCKS~~~i think it was a perfect choice, even if it did not match the time period...

I liked the soundtrack too, but then I suspect Sofia Coppola and I share a taste in music *chuckles*

I have it myself and listening to the last 4 songs of the 2nd disk makes me so sad. They just have that "the end" feeling to it...if you know what I mean. :(

I know the feeling! It makes me sad too :( And I'll just listen the music from here: http://www.vervemusicgroup.com/product. ... &pid=11652. I haven't bought the soundtrack yet, but I hope I get it today, because I love the soundtrack too!

Monsieur Royale ~ there is some kind of virtual keyboard or world keyboard on the site babel fish, where you can access software for accents and symbols. http://www.altavista.com. I'm not exactly sure how to navigate that site....but it may be helpful!

When I went to see the movie, the music was one of my major hangups against it. I'm surprised you all seem to love that soundtrack so much :?

I have to say that I generally do not like 80s music.
But given the huge appreciation the CD soundtrack is receiving here, I'm starting to think I should give it a chance. A friend of mine has bought it...I might ask to borrow it tomorrow.

Will let you know if my opinion changes...don't hold your breath though ;)

It's just a matter of fashion, dear marquise ! We now have a revival eighties... and just have to wait until it's over !
