Well one thing, do have pictures of exactly what you want as most workmen will have no Idea where you are going with this thing. so you mean not Saint cloud? I think a u shape as a two story grand trianon is a great floor plan, and one I plan to use when build my chateau. But I think every one agrees that a petit apartments would be an absolute must. you could even have a hidden staircase going down to the bathroom.

I plan on it. Workmen will hate me. I pay SO MUCH attention to detail.
I love Saint-Cloud, I'm thinking of having the chateau without the lateral wings, and then adding the wings when I am older. :angel4:

I already have a topic about it in Chateau de Versailles and other royal residences, I'm posting the model of it later on tonight.

Ok, I went over there, wow is it ever big. truly, do you want to make it that big, or basically the u shape with the rooms you have mentioned. I am going back to see the rooms. But remember you will have to heat and cool it. I could not believe it had been photographed............ seems that so much of what Marie Antoinette loved has burned. I think they should build it back. you could do an impression of it, instantly recognisable, some good copies of rooms, even some from Versailles or Trianon in there, like the ultimate tribute. but smaller, and more manageable. (Less taxes) :angel5: Some big huge rooms, stately full sized galleries only well picked and fewer. A cour de la Reine, however is a must! so is ithere one from St. Cloud? or from Versailles. I am so intrigued by that one, but because I have seen some of it. in person, the rest in pictures.

Well Elle, I don't plan on having anything but electricity and cooling. Cooling it won't be hard, and it may look ginormous but it is only 45 metres in the cour de honneur ;) I want all of Saint-Cloud plus the petit apartments surrounding the cour de la reine. I'm also desigining my dads lake house at the moment. Again, I'm so busy. I have the floorplans, I just need to find some land, and put together what pavillions I want.

It's funny, I've given my friends the best rooms, and mine over look the courtyard. Ahaha :] I'm so generous.

As far as taxes go, they can shut up, my family has had perfect credit since we moved over here. :D

It does mine, and that is for sure, how perfect is that. :angel11: to Comte Well, Saint Cloud does look as big as Versaillas. I guess with it being 3 stories. (or was it four) 45 Meters is not so big around the cour. what is the lake house like? My little chateau idea is a lake house. We don't have the land yet either. Take for instance this picture, well, I plan to have only five rooms but this big, and to really look like this, then I would feel as if I were in a huge palace.

Thank you! I love it.
I love le Chateau de Louveciennes!
It was Louis XV's gift to DuBarry.

Surprisingly, she had wonderful taste, just like MA.
If she hadn't been o lower birth, they may have gotten along just fine.
