Marie Antoinette loved porcelain.
I have the bigest interest in porcelain, and I thought we should have a topic!

This service belongs to Madame DuBarry, and is beautiful!

Yes, why have we not talked of this? Marie Antoinette had the most beautiful porcelain sets, like this one:

And she patronised the Sèvres porcelain factory, purchasing works each year. It is said of these bowls:
Quote:
A total of sixty-five pieces were delivered to Rambouillet in two shipments in 1787 and 1788. It may be that the queen saw only the pieces included in the first delivery. There is no record of a visit to Rambouillet in 1788, and with the start of the Revolution the following year, no further visits were possible.

The yellow makes it pop!
The cake platter that was posted is an artist vision, I hate to be a critic, but that was WAY too flamboyant for MA's style of porcelain.

Indeed, she loved Sevres, but she Patronized a factory called Rue Thiroux, because the owner begged for her blessing. Comte d'Artois patronized Limoges.
