It is a bit girly…
I was searching on the internet and here is something I have found.
Few people who saw this modern- rococo bedroom screamed awful and tacky! That wasn’t my first impression… Actually, I thought it was nice and luxurious… I certainly wouldn’t mind sleeping in a bedroom like this. :angel10:

The first picture looks a bit like a hotel room, I just can't explain why. Maybe beacuse the parquet is modern? But the second, this little armoire, is very nice.

Don't worry, I would gladly sleep in such a room :) It is very decorative.

It really just needs some personal touches.

Yes, good point! Still it is hard to find good reproductions of the rococo furniture, with that right measure of the same grace and elegance. I like Elle’s house.

eBay definitely has some great stuff... I've been eyeballing this bedboard, neoclassical style. If given the right touches of bedsetting, I can definitely see myself sleeping in it. This seller has lots of great bedboards.
These are just some of my favorites from this seller...

And this seller, named Hope, sells many great French artifacts and porcelains as well as furnitures...she's really sweet!( I saved her as a favorite seller)
This is a list of the things she sells, at times she sells a lot of Louis XV or XVI items.

This is one of her items, a beautiful baroque three piece mauve salon settee.

These swan handled vases are what I recently bought from her, each one has different pictures of French courtiers on either side.

Wonderful pictures! It's still lovely, with its ragged paint and nice colour. I wish I have the same furniture :)

I don't approve of modern interpretations on 18th century furniture, it lacks character, fluidity and grace.

Well, I can’t say I don’t agree but in lack of affordable originals… :(

Yes there is a lack of affordable reproductions....(by the way Marja, thank you for saying you like my house) :angel11: I really liked the picture of the bed Christoph posted some time ago........Is the delicate little bed posted by Silage de la Reine an original...it is certainly looking like an original....how much was it? (I am wondering) I have come across some remarkable stuff on E bay last summer..like the round wooden cornices from which you hang the bed drapes from...and also two of the chairs that were in the Coppala movie. I wasn't sure if it were true at first, but sure enough.. They were the chairs.

I had been looking all year at a french mirror in the Antique mall it had gilded swags that hung over the glass...when I finally went in to buy it ............it was gone!!!!!! :( It was 200.00 dollars....so when you find a piece you want..and you know it is reasonable, it is best not to hesitate. I have never seen another like it.
