Oh wow, I am so pleased somebody has brought this topic up!

I must admit, I have a fascination with blueprints and floorplans of buildings! This thread has inspired me to go hunting for them, I shall report back with my findings!
I like to see what you have found :)

I found this website with a floor plan of Versailles, when you click on the number on the floor plan it shows the photo of the room. (I don't think this website has been posted).

I do have a question, this floor plan shows the Dauphin and Dauphine's rooms located on the left of the palace, I thought that is where the Queen's rooms were located... are the Queen's apartments above the Dauphine's then on the second floor?

Thank you for the link! :D

I believe that the queen's room is on the right of the castle, if we look at the gardens... :?

you're welcome for the link.

Thanks louis-Charles, I never took the gardens into consideration before. I'm new to the world of Marie-Antoinette.

I searched around the site (the one I posted above), my french isn't that good so I had to take my time with the site, I found the floor plans for the Queen's apartments there and the King's

It refers, I think as I said my french isn't good, this is the first floor the other plans are the ground floor.

I think Queen's Apartment is closely above the Dauphine's Apartment.

I found the floorplans of Petit Trianon on this website (it's in German):

http://www.marie--antoinette.de/

On the left you'll see Petit Trianon, Garten, und Hameau, click on that. Then click on Petit Trianon again, then press the small arrow pointing right. That gives you the floorplan! I'd really love to find plans of L'Hameau, but it is rather obscure, I'm afraid.

Thanks LouisXVI. I have been looking for awhile for a floor plan of the trianon. That is a great site. I'd love a plan of the Hamlet as well.

You're welcome! :D

There is a book entitled Views and Plans of Petit Trianon and Versailles, and that would probably have everything that you're looking for, but it is extremely expensive. I'm always on the lookout though!

P.S. Parva sed apta (small but perfect) Monsieur Andre!

Searching, I came across this floor plan of Versailles, it is the ground floor, but have a look where it list Marie-Antoinette's rooms, not the same place the other plans do ( that I posted above). May be she stayed in these when she first arrived at Versailles? I just assumed she stayed in the dauphine's apartments until she moved into the Queen's apartments.
All the other rooms seem to match up with the other plans though.

I think Marie Antoinette did stay in the dauphine's apartments when she first came to Versailles, and then moved to the Queen's apartments. Here is another bedroom that she wold use on the ground floor when she was not seeping in the chambre de la Reine:

This is the bathroom across the hall on the groundfloor:

The small daybed in the bathroom is where Marie Antoinette would be massaged after taking a hot bath. Ahhhh...
