I know! He found them on the Boudoir...French forum. A member there, Madame Sophie, has visited and seen everything. Another forum, "Connaissances de Versailles", is in French but with great in depth knowledge and photos of everything. Worth a look, though the level of knowledge is almost daunting.

Thanks Baron! Do you suppose that maybe you have to "know" somebody to get inside? Surely not just anyone can go inside and take pictures?

This site has some incredible photos of the interior of the Hamlet's building and on page 6 of the forum, there is a floor plan of the Queen's House:

I am going to use this thread since it seems unreasonble to start a new one and ask a few question about the Hameau and the other farm buildings. I hope it's okay.
Who lived there, taking care of the animals and such? Did they actually produce anything? How often did Marie-Antoinette visit the Hameau? And does anyone have tip on were I can find mor information about this place. Eh, a lot of weird questions, but if you just know one, or something else about the Hamaeu, or can redirect me to another thread, please share with the clueless Natalia? Thank you!

The farm outbuildings were inhabited by one or two farming families and did produce farm produce for the use of the Royal household. Eggs, milk, cream, meat, fish from the lake etc

The main decorative buildings of the Hameau were visited by the Queen during the day and evening, mainly during the summer. MA never stayed the night there, but she would hold dinners for intimate friends. She didn't visit the Hameau that often, it was only completed later in her reign, but she went there as often as her rôle as Queen allowed her to. I have visited the interiors of these buildings, the rooms are bare, they are damp and the walls and ceilings are crumbling. Their only interest is nostalgic and historic, a poignant reminder of a bygone age. If you visit the French forum, you can at least view a lot of photos of the "Hameau", that is if you don't read French. Its' called the "Boudoir de Marie Antoinette".
