Post Re: Trianon
Merci, dear Baron, I would love to be able to stroll through the gardens of Trianon with you, arm in arm! Thank you for the lovely descriptions of Versailles and the Trianons, it helps me dream. :angel5:

Indeed, mind if I tag along? :]
I'd love to hear all the information you have, compared to that of a docent's. Maybe when I visit you could come and tell me all about it? :D

Cela serait formidable! (I hope the French is correct!) What is "docent"?

I present the definition of "docent"

1. college or university lecturer.
2. a person who is a knowledgeable guide, esp. one who conducts visitors through a museum and delivers a commentary on the exhibitions.

I hope this helps. :)

I see someone used dictionary.com! Is this word more of an American usage?

Another one was a private docent which I'm assuming it's a kind of guide.

All right. You caught me I did use dictionary.com.

You wish perhaps, cher Comte, to take my other arm?

Seriously it would be a pleasure and an honour to have your company at Trianon, and that of Délicate Fleur as well, of course! Let me know when and I'll arrange that...as you know, I know the best way to see those gardens now, and to have them for ourselves.

With Comte on your one arm and the Delicate flower on the other… where do I fit in?
