Yes I know but I would have understood that statement coming from an American who often don't leave their country but not from someone from England.

Well, although she had never been there herself (it was built in the 1900s!) Chateau Dufresne in Montreal, Canada shares supposedly the same layout as Petit Trianon. Although it obviously doesn't give off the same vibe as it would the real place.

I am sorry to dissapoint you so baron!

It's rather embarassing actualy but I was bought up in a poor household, and have a large family, not to mention a father that works practically every single day except for christmas day - it's always been difficult getting holidays, it used to be just 4 days at the coast. The whole family maybe once a year if lucky  but can't complain, I am grateful for the time I got. But up until this time last year I was in full tim education and being supported by my parents, now I am in full time work, hence how I managed to fund my first abroad trip! Only the one though as my OH was always so busy travelling, and didn't want to travel for holidays.

Life story over, but hope things are more clear.

I recently went abroad for the first time in my life... drove to France and visited Versaille... infact I dressed up as MA as I swanned around Versailles! Didn't spend long at the palace, spend most of my time in the Queen's Hamlet. It's inspired me to be more like her... hence the start of my jewelry company Dauphine Jewelry!

You?

p.s. how do I post a photograph?

Hi!
Well, I've been where MA always dream to gobut never had the possibility.
This summer I went to Sweden , to find Fersen's palace!
It is so cute, with a pink room ( pink walls, pink fornitures ecc.) I sat down there for hours! There was also a breakfast table which was a present from MA to him.
It was a beautiful journey! :angel1:

p.s.how can i get an avatar?O_O

I'd like to do that trip to Fersen's place. And see his grave. And the Royal palaces in Stockholm. Any photos of that trip? :)

of course, but still in digital camera, sorry :angel1: I'll put here as soon as possible.
I have to say this.
It's better to see the world and just after that going to see Versailles, 'cause after seeing Versailles I must say that NOTHING can asthonish me anymore :angel1:
Maybe, and i say maybe, St. Peterburg's Winter Palace could impress me, but I still have to go there.

I've been in Caserta's castle two years ago, where Caroline ( MA's sister) married the king of Naples.
How many emotions! :angel1:

Yes I was there in September, and took many photos! The 18th century rooms are wonderful! Marie-Caroline was MA's closest sister, and was like her very strong willed!
