Post Thank-you France
Today, July 4th, is the day we celebrate our Independence in America. I'd like to thank the French for the help they were willing to provide to make this freedom possible.....we are grateful for your support and for the beautiful Statue of Liberty which has become a national symbol.

Great post Lilly, thank you very much !

Hurrah ! And thank you America for the D-Day !

What are you doing for the 4th of July ? What is the plan ?

It is amazing to be in America for this great holiday. I am thrilled. I missed the fireworks, because I was somehow convinced there were today and not the day before. Anyway I was invited on a cruise in Navy Pier -I have never been there yet, guess I spend too much time in Hyde Park. Chicago will be at its best !

I will try and post a few pictures, if I can, because I usually do not take any.

Hope all our American friends had a lovely 4th celebration. It's a long time ago now, but I once spent a 4th of July in New Orleans and had a fabulous evening in the French Quarter - I highly recommend it as a tourist experience!

Ludy, I hope you made it to Navy Pier for the fireworks - I saw it was quite a show!
It should have been a little cooler by the lake - since we are experiencing record breaking heat temperatures here, I stayed home in the air conditioning!

Adrienne - I'll bet New Orleans was a lot of fun for July 4th!
