Dear Melly,

From those few brief words that you so kindly wrote to me - ( mentioning your humble request to carry my train .....) I could immediately tell that you are a woman of quality, breeding, taste - and extraordinary discernment and intellect - of course you may wait upon me !!!!!!

This makes you very a rare person in deed .........

Post Age, fascination and character
Vivienne, I share your age. So, you and I share the title of elder statesman and woman... unless someone lurking is over 60.

I've had my Marie Antoinette fascination for over 40 years. Is it the same with you?

Axel

PS - Guess which character in MA's life I'd choose to be *grinz*

Post Naaaaa.... no young whippersnapper I
Therese, you are too kind.

I often feel akin to James Garner in the 1985 movie Murphy's Romance, as a man generally taken on sight for late 30s or early 40s, and generally secretive about my age.

But yes, I well remeber where I was and what I was doing the day John Kennedy was shot .... and often think of many of the events of the 60s with a smile on my face.

And through it all, there was my secret passion for a certain Queen of France who reigned 180 years before.

Vive la reine!
Axel

... her dog ? *lol*

Kidding, dear, just kidding here !!!

However, believe me it is the best character ! No one she kisses and embrases and caresses more... No one who is more beside her, all the time, night and day...

Woof ! :D

I was still in diapers the day Kennedy was shot and don't remember a thing, mercifully.

I still remember Pres. Eisenhower's portrait on the wall in grade school when we used to say the pledge of allegiance. I well remember Kennedy's election and his assassination and the pride and excitement associated with his Presidency.

Yaaaaa, olde Axel is child of the '60s.... just blowin in the wind.

*smiles*

Hello Axel, I have always imagined you being like a sharp investigator in NY or elsewhere like in TV series...with elegant speech and manners! But as a child of 60's I now also say: how come, peace man...

Chère Pimprenelle, c'est votre carlin, n'est-ce pas? Quel(le) chien adorable! Quel chou-chou!
