This smash hit opera comique (by Dezede, I think) must be available somewhere. Every book of airs and chansons, variations, and potpourris has numbers from this opera, and was so popular, it crossed the Atlantic and hit the boards in New York, Philadelphia, or Charleston. John Adams and Thos. Jefferson both new the work. It's got to have been revived by now. Where can I find a recording?
