Hi all - anyone else here get the etsy email? Today's feature was all about Marie Antoinette (and other historical ladies) costume and home styling. I stole the link to the Marie Antoinette inspired dresses as I thought there might be a few here who would appreciate having a browse through what the etsy folk have come up with when thinking about the Queen :)

I'm an etsian, but I didn't see this email.

My dress is in there among the kitsch, or maybe it IS the kitsch, yikes!

It's the white dress with silk chiffon neck trimming + grey ribbon sash -- the very first (non-sponsored) product!!

My etsy shop - http://www.etsy.com/shop/LittleTheatrette?ref=si_shop - is full of dresses of this similar style. Well, just want to say its not meant to be historically accurate or really far-out with lots of frills and ribbons, just what I think a romantic, tragic queen might wear to brunch with friends... in the 21st century...!! Overall a slightly more subdued style, but still with a BIT of frills and ribbons ; )

Oops you've got me started and I can't stop talking now! I better stop here :)
