Wikipedia states:
"According to Brewer’s Dictionary of Phrase & Fable the unfortunate of the same name who died by the guillotine was J.M.V. Guillotin, a doctor of Lyons [2]"

I knew that there was a 'Guillotine' that was beheaded, I just got mixed up which one it was!

Yes, dear mantuamaker, that is so true. Rather ironical, is it not?
And of course, Robespierre, the main instigator of all the carnage, bloodshed and cruelty was also executed in this way !!

It reminds Me of the saying: "Those that live by the sword, shall perish by the sword"

It is a very sad fact that uit has been proven~ the mind can take up to 2 MINUTES to die, after being severed from the body. There is no doubt, that when held up above a mob of onlookers, the person could well see and comprehend what had just happened. The thought makes me absolutely SICK.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I do believe the inventor of the guillitone~ Dr Joseph Guillotine, was excecuted with it as well.

As a medical doctor, I will like to know where you got that information from..? The brain can "live" up to 10-15 seconds after the supply of oxygen gets cut off. That's the most extreme cases. I don't think you will find any medical evidence which can back you up on this one.

Dr Joseph Guillotine, was NOT excecuted! Guillotine did not die on the machine given his name (and which he did not invent), but instead died a natural death on May 26, 1814 at the age of 76, according to some sources from a carbuncle on the left shoulder.

God, can someone check their facts first, before they post!?
