so, in actuality, she was not related to the actual caesers?

No, that would be quite impossible. There was not one definite line of Caesars in Rome. During the long history of the empire, different dinasties succeeded one another (even if "dinasty is ot the right term, because in most cases the succession was decided through adoption, not actual lineage) and, by the III century AD, most emperors were generals, and they often lasted very short in their rule, to be soon substituted by someone else. Things changed again about the IV century, when some attempts of reform of the State were made, but in the period of the barbaric invasions, just before the fall of the Empire, sudden changes in power came again.
As Therese said, daughter of the Caesars means "descendant of the Holy Roman Emperors", who were called like this because the Holy Roman Empire was considered the ideal continuation of the Roman empire.

I just assumed that because in the 800's the "Holy Roman Empire" was formed from what I recall.

the daughter of the caesars bit, i understand it now, but its one of those things that seem like she REALLY WAS related to THE caesars.

No, she WASN'T related to the Caesars if you intend the Caesars of ancient Rome! Also because there was NOT one family of Caesars in Rome: Caesar was the name every emperor took.
But during the Holy Roman Empire, and then the Austrian empire, the emperors were called Caesars as well as an honorary definition, partly because Caesar is a synonim for Emperor and partly because, as I said before, these two empires were seen as continuation of the Rman one. So Daughter of the Caesars means simply "descendant of the emperors" or, if you want to find one deeper meaning "ideal successor of the emperors of Rome".
Hope I've been clear this time!
