Sorry if this is not the right forum to post .. and pls dont think I'm weird ... but does anyone else feel themselves looking at a person and picturing them as an 18th century portrait??? I've just noticed this recently ... and I blame MA!!!

Dear Faye, you are not weird. I do the same as you. For example I try to imagine the designer Karl Lagerfeldt as an 18th aristocrat, not that it is hard to look upon him as such. I even try to see the actress Susan Sarandon as a 18th century person.

thanks guys! interesting feedback! I do it when I am sitting in cars watching the people drive by .. strangers usually ... i think it is basically the perception of mine as opposed to the reality of what someone is really like ... i would love to see the picture that MOST fits what MA looked like ..

I would also love to see the most realistic picture. They can all be so different

I kinda do the opposite...I always screw my eyes shut and try sooooooo hard to visualise what Marie Antoine would look like if she lived now, in our times. I just cant seem to do it!!!! Everything about her is so...classical....I cant picture her wearing jeans and a T-shirt with converse sneakers on....or with her hair let down and loose.

i can see her in blue skinny jeans, tight white t-shirt, and red converses, with her hair down. as a young girl tho (pre- children)
