The Ventura Museum has moved to a temporary space while getting refurbished. Until sometime into March, they are showing a little sculpture or doll (it's a bit of both) of Marie-Antoinette and her children, along with one of Louis XIV, draped in his blue and fleur-de-lys cloak.

For anyone near LA, Ventura is a very pleasant day trip on a sunny day - lots of nice brunch-y restaurants and the beach close at hand. Lots of thrift shops, too.

How i wish i could go there, the figure of Marie Antoinette with her children is lovely, yet i think she looks older here than in the painting after which the figure is modeled
