 The Olde Militia of Helsinki and ..... Bonjour!
I would like to introduce my hobby here in Finland, which is 18th century etc. It's The Olde Militia of Helsinki and the Fine Citizens of the Town. I'm not a soldier, but sometimes I'm with them in historical happenings. And we have also 18th century partys in Suomenlinna http://www.suomenlinna.fi/index.php?lang=eng, which is old fortres.

That sounds really cool - my boyfriend is Finnish and I am hoping to visit Helsinki this year

Hello Moose!
You must visit in Suomenlinna if you are coming. And if you are interested of 18th century happenings, I can tell you what I know.
In last weekend of june, we have big re-enactment war in Loviisa. (18th century certainly)
