Post Hey, I'm new! (obv...)
Hey, my name's Grainne (obv I like Pirates of the Caribbean from my username...) and I'm 15. From Belfast. Came across this site when researching the French Rev. for something I'm writing at the moment. It's not for school - I'm fascinated with that kind of history outside of studies. I adore Marie Antoinette, her era and her background, so I hope this forum will be great! Nice to be here! :D

By heritage I'm Irish not entirely, I'm French-Canadian, Dutch/German, Norwegian, Native American that is all I'm going to list for now. However I know Irish people get offended when other people say "I'm Irish!" when you're from America. You guys are probably thinking " God, why are these Americans here, leave us alone." "Stupid Fat Americans, go back and eat greasy cheese burgers. Bugger. I could really go for a potato now. Welcome anyway!

Some Irish people may feel that way, but I'm not one of them. I know there are many people who were born in the US who relate strongly to Ireland.

Your lucky to have such a rich mix heritage to draw upon. I wish mine was more varied. :)

It certainly helps my father has fair skin and burns my older sister also burns my mother has the Native American in her so I got lucky and I got some pigment!I burn a little bit and then I turn brown. My sister ( the fair one) attempts to "tan" even though she only turns to a rosy/lobster pink  .

I also chose for my confirmation name, Dymphna. Her story was extremely sad, none the less intriguing. She is the patron saint of mental illnesses and nervous system disorders, epileptics, mental health professionals, happy families, incest victims, and runaways.

It's finely shredded steak or chicken it's placed in a roll and has cheese placed on it. I am chicken cheese steak person. Wikipedia will explain it better, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheesesteak. From the pictures it doesn't look really tasty, you'll have to take my word for it.Here's an extra picture. http://www.northwestern.edu/nucuisine/i ... -steak.jpg :)

However, you have to be in the south Jersey area , in order to get a Philly cheese steak you can either go to Philadelphia. Essentially, you can also be in south Jersey in order to get a cheesesteak, however once you get up to north Jersey the chances are slim to none.
