Post Caption Antics.
had a bright idea for fun yesterday....
why not have a caption contest for a funny picture? it'll get some good laughs.

just post what you think the baby is thinking when he's looking at the doll....

Baby: Ok. So you want to start a staring contest eh? * stares at doll intently*

Sadly, after staring at the doll for five hours it was Alexander's nap time.

I am so bad at these games; hm…like baby is trying to hypnotize the doll!? :?

Since you are so witty, maybe you could help…I’ve always wondered what is going on in this picture…
Some dialogue maybe?

Hmmm...my impression is he is trying to propose to the lady and she is pretending not to understand, but in reality she perfectly knows what's going on and she is happy, but she wants to play still a bit...

But I don't know if it's true...maybe I'm just too romantic

It is more likely Rosaile's explanation. However some supplementary dialogue could never hurt anyone.

Lady: I know you love me, yet I think having someone paint me in the nude is too much.

Gentleman: Well at least he depicted you more plump. I think you look beautiful.

Lady: That's only because in the military you are deprived of women.

Gentleman: Quite the contrary, miss.

Gentleman: *leans in to kiss her on the cheek*

And so that could very well be the explanation as to why both of them a blushing. You'll have to excuse the naughtiness of the dialogue.

It looks so fuzzy. I want to hug it. As long as it's not smelly. :)

Hogarth had put all kinds of stories in his art. This picture, or theme, is from two parts, this is the second one.
What do you think is happening? Dialogue?

Here is an 18th century couple's therapy session. So far it appears to have been a disaster.
