Louis, it was just for the look. Louis XIV was christened Louis Dieudonne, but it was always the double L :]

What did the second "L" mean in his monogram?

I must admit that I do not care for tatoos. To me, it is like wearing the same outfit for the rest of your life and never being able to change clothes. I also find the colors bland and unattractive, resembling a wet newspaper. That said, however, if one is going to have one, then I would suggest putting it in a discreet location. C'est la vie! To each his own...

Forgive me, but as usual I dive right in without reading all of the posts. That tatoo of Marie holding her head is simply atrocious. I urge you to put such ideas out of your head and to not defile your body in such a way. It is also a very grotesque image and extremely disrespectful of the Queen. Perhaps you should consider an engraving of some kind...

I am re-thinking getting one now...

Good! There are so many other, less permanent and gaudy ways to adorn oneself or display one's feelings/interests. I wondered at first if I should even voice my opinion on this subject, but now I am so glad that I did. Have an Amazing Day!

Satisfied,
Ray

I love when other people have them, but I don't think I could live with one thing on my body the rest of my life.
Henna then! :D

Yes, henna is good or even temporary tatoos, although I don't know if it is possible to customize temporary tatoos. Like you, I sometimes think they look okay on certain people in certain places, but not on Yours Truly!

:] I really do like them on other people, but I know that I easily tire of thingsd, and that is mainly why I won't get one.
