Post It's very quiet around here.......
Hi guys!

I was just wondering why the forum is pretty inactive in the last month or so? Is everyone quite busy with things in their personal lives? I understand, as I am busy studying and planning a wedding, but I do so love coming here to chat when I can.

I miss the halycon days when there were lively discussions here all the time. Where are you Comte, Marija, Rosalie, Anouk, Elle, Baron, etc?? :angel8:

Yes, I imagine some of it is being busy with other commitments but there must be some reason that people are staying away from here....

Yes, my wedding is in April next year! I have booked the ceremony venue, reception venue, ordered the bridal gown, bridesmaids dresses, booked the vintage Jaguar cars and the makeup artist. That is all so far!

I would imagine our European members are enjoying their five week vacations (or as I suspect some of my compatriots call it "rampant socialism".)

When the rentree comes in, stand back!

Yes, it is in Autumn, but in the Southern Hemisphere Autumn - April 2010. We will have Spring soon when you have your Autumn.

Yes, it is Spring now in Australia. I thought it would be your Fall?

I picked this dress: http://www.alfredangelo.com/Collections/ProductDisplay.aspx?productID=2039e191-e45b-4b44-bba1-6a2ac07f9712&categoryID=8b186130-0d63-4e3c-ac5c-aea0d9566e1c&pg=1

and these bridesmaids dresses: http://www.alfredangelo.com/Collections/ProductDisplay.aspx?ProductId=2b8ff2b1-ab4d-4673-86f0-bfd44d473229&CategoryId=bfff30be-a493-4315-880c-45a86ae342b8

A perfect choice! There are something "antique" in your dress, its beautiful red border perfectly fits. And it reminds me a hungarian bride's dress :=> Eye-appealing.
Bridesmaid's dress is so pretty as well, deep blue colour is surprising and very stylish. I can't wait for your wedding.....

In Texas it is still very much summer..... high 90's to 100 plus.
Your dress is so beautiful....is the color on the link, (claret, I think) the color you are having? with the blue bridesmaid dresses (very striking). April will be here before you know it. So You will have a Fall wedding?........

It is very interesting to read the different seasons in which different parts of the world re experiencing.
I am in the mid-western US - which is very different from Texas or California. We usually don't get our Autumn weather till mid-September or so, but this year Autumn was felt at the end of August, quite early. The leaves have started to change color already, but the weather is gorgeous with low humidity and temps in the mid-70's, perfect! Many people travel "up-north" during this season as the changing of the leaves is so beautiful.

Is it also less warm in the US? Here, in Middle Europe, there was a cold front that came trough... leaves are getting colourful, too!

Here I am!

I've got some problems accessing the forum, but now it seems to be fixed, thanks to our great administrator :)
So, in a way it comforts me to think there's not been much going on here, because it means I didn't miss too much...But I know it's a bit selfish :) Jokes apart, I also hope there will be soon many people around and many new interesting topics, as it's really nice to come here and read your posts.

I guess it's true, many European members will have been around on holidays...As for me, I came back from Berlin a couple of weeks ago. It was so amazing! Berlin is a wonderful city, young and dynamic. Obviously, I also tried to see anything 18th century related, so first I visited the Schloss Charlottenburg, a beautiful castle built by Prussian emperor William I between the end of the XVII and the beginning of the 18th century.
I also went to Potsdam, in order to see the Schloss Sans Souci, but unluckily it was closed  It such a shame! But obviously, this makes a perfect excuse to go back there!

And then I visited the big and beautiful Gemaeldegalerie, where there were several 18th century portraits by British and French artists.

And you? I hope you all had a great summer!

Cheers
Rosalie
