*bursts balloon under the baron's nose, on the grounds that a shock is good for hiccups*

Ok, for lack of more resources on actual historical gowns, I think I'll arrange to wear this one...

Things are moving forward for the summer party/

Parking, please leave your carriages (Clio, 305, Golf, Rolls etc) in the driveway opposite the "communs".

Dress: You know best, but it can be light muslin white summer dresses as the Queen may well be wearing something similar. Gentlemen to look like gentlemen. Ladies dazzle us!!

Food: May need some help on this section, not too sure what they ate at parties. There will be Ville d'Avray spring water for the Queen with ornage blossom, champagne, wine, lemonade, and fresh fruit/berries from the King's vegetable garden.

Music: We'll have the orchestra play Glück's Iphignie, Grétry's Richard and "Céphale, Mozart, and Siouxise and the banshees "Hong Kong garden". I suggest that when the King and Queen arrive we strike up a hearty rendition of "Richard Ô mo roi, ton univers t'abandonne"....but not us basically.

Layout: dancing in the Pavillon Français and on the terrace.

Cards/Gambling: Inside in the Queen's salon, windows flung open, pharaoh, lansquenet etc

Bedroom allocation: See me....we can sleep some people in the Hameau de la Reine in the Queen's rural hamlet.

Gardens: Fireworks at midnight over the lake in front of the Belvédère. Walks in the domaine, a fortune teller with a small table in the Temple de l'Amour, rowing boats on the lake of the Queen's hamlet.

For food, the first course includes several dishes, perhaps including a soup (what kind?) with fresh herbs from the garden.

 Ok, for my hair...(I wonder if this is possible!)...it will be about one foot tall powdered white with twisted strands of hair circling over, and holding up, a small clear glass globe that holds living fireflies!
