how did Austria react to all of this(the revolution and imprisonment of Marie)?
did they support Marie or simply leave her alone and not bother?

Ambivalence, at best. By this time, Francis II was Emperor and he hardly knew or had empathy for his aunt. Why he was willing to see a monarchy overthrown is a little strange to me, but he stood by and let it happen. Revolutionary leader Georges Danton even tried to negotiate for her return but Francis was unwilling to make any concessions. Certainly, people in Austria must of mourned her death but its leader did nothing to prevent her tragic fate. Leopold II, the previous Emperor, had made moves with Prussia to intervene, but never did.

One would also hope that you'd realize that Marie is not her first name, it's Marie-Antoinette. I hope this does not sound nasty.
