That's what I meant, my view of the forum is stuffing up; sometimes posts disappear and then suddenly reappear. I too meant p7, the grey portrait by Labille Guiard.

Oh, how unfortunate! Maybe you should ask Adrienne about this?

I have heard that she died quickly, which I hope and would like to believe, and I have heard that she was 'gang raped' which I would not like to believe. In any case, it is beyond human comprehension how her death occurred in the first place. It is said that upon seeing the littered bodies that had fallen in front of her she murmured "How horrible!" which indeed it was.

I am afraid that it is almost certain that she was raped.
Now I remembered how they called a hairdresser to fix her hair after they (the mob) had cut off her head!
They made a whole ceremony of her death!

A local one, right outside the Shop, they called the hairdresser out and he-or-she fixed La Princesse' hair.

However could a hairdresser have participated in this horror. How could any of them. I think now that Coppala was right not to show these things. they are just beyound comprehension.

People do strange things while held at gun point.

Like Columbine, :/
La Princesse was very brave and stood up for MA ALL THE TIME. She didn't deserve her fate, but how courageous she was.

Coppola should have shown all that so all of us could be more aware of the horrors of the Revolution. People must know what they are celebrating.

No one thinks of the 4th of July as anything but fireworks anymore.
I wish she would've shown it, but part of me is glad she didn't.

Yes I have mixed feelings on it as well. On one hand people could have gotten more depth and could truly see our poor Queen's suffering. However it would be difficult and too sad for me at least. When I read biographies on her I read backwards because I get so morose from reading about the Revolution.

It's all just so depressing.
