Ok, so I am reading Nesta Webster again, so of course I am interested in possible conspiracies within the revolution. Opinion mostly, do you think that any conspiracies may have been forming before the revolution, or do you think people used the momentum of the revolution to their advantage? I am interested to hear what relationships helped spur and maintain the revolution to it's end results.

There was the "Conspiracy of Equals" after the Revolution. After the fall of Robespierre, anyway. A man by the name of Babeuf plotted to overthrow the Directory. He was extremely radical -- he advocated the complete redistribution of wealth, and he considered the perpetrators of the September Massacres to be heroic patriots. He and a number of co-conspirators were captured and executed. Some time later, in the 1830's, a number of underground revolutionary clubs formed in Paris, describing themselves variously as "equalitarians" or the "disciples of Babeuf". One of these, the Society of the Seasons, changed its name to the Communist League and assigned Marx & Engels the task of writing its manifesto.

During the revolution, the Aug. 10th insurrection and the subsequent nastiness were very likely plotted out in detail from inside the Club of the Cordeliers. The club's members described themselves as the "Jacobins of the Jacobins," and included Marat, Hebert, Danton, Desmoulins, etc. They were the ones who popularized the phrase "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity, or Death!"
