Today is the anniversary of Louis XVI's untimely murder. Rest in peace, Louis XVI, martyr of the revolution. Elena Maria Vidal has a blog entry on his murder : http://teaattrianon.blogspot.com/2008/01/death-of-louis-xvi.html.
Poor man. Such a tragedy, leaving his family and never seeing them again.

I would end this post with a triumphant shout of "Vive la Roi!" but I think I'm a million years to late for that. So I guess I'll have to settle wishing him, where ever he may be, a peaceful rest in his grave, at his wife's side.

I do wish the same for him...and for them both...for them all.

What a horrible time!

I shutter when I think of what they had gone through! It does, believe it or not give me strength to get through the trials of my days. I tell myself if they could endure their torments I can certianly endure mine- which of course, can not compare.
