Very briefly, because I haven't read everyone's responses....if I were nobility, I think I would have a perpetual headache from all the Rococo decor! I find it too busy for me.

While I was in Venice, I had visited the Duke palace and I felt like I lived there, I could see myself walking through the halls in the mediaeval dress. However rococo is quite tacky and I could never arrange my room to look like that now. Many objects and colours make me nervous; I like the light, simplicity and order in the place I live in. Still I think I would be happy as an 18th century lady walking down these rooms! Of course then my style and behavior would be completely according to the rules of the 18th century society and such a rich environment.

It's too stimulating for me. I'd be out in the gardens or at the Petit Trianon where it was simpler.

I've been to the second church( I think) . I usually love Rococo but the second, the church was a bit too much for me. I think, I remember it was in Switzerland. I don't think Rococo is tacky, but I think if there is too much color and if things aren't simplified like any architecture it can be tacky. Anything with inappropriate colors or over done can be tacky.

As for Versailles first image and Marja Vera's images I wish my whole house could be like that , or at least my room.
