Yes it was. Maybe slightly more difficult due to the panniers .

How could you tell? No I am seriously joking. Like that man in the picture spying the woman. That's well to put it nicely- peculiar. Yes apart from that they did look gorgeous! :]

Sorry, I don’t understand what you wanted to say so I can’t do the reply on that. (I can translate it literally but still it doesn’t make sense to me). :|

However I can post this, the basic of the 18th century gown.
:)

They look like court hoops I think women wore panniers, because it more convenient. Hoops are a giant skirt. Panniers have smaller sides.

The metal looks a little frightening.

And more less intimidating images of non metal panniers.

They seem far more substantial than most high heels today. Verses this stiletto that would cause you to teeter side to side. :)

Hellou_L. can you please use synonym for the word sturdier - that is comparative of course. I don’t understand that word even my vocabulary is quite good but I would like to improve it!

This is not connected to this topic but since I have opened it and we discuss many things more or less related to this subject (life in the 18th century) this could be interesting. Did you notice how decadence of the 18th century can be inspiring for artists? Sometimes I really like the result; even it often can be edgy or exaggerated.
What do you think about these videos?
I love Madonna’s performance!
Song Rock Me Amadeus is also good; video is quite saucy but I like it.

To be honest dear....I do not like the song at all!
Unfortunately I could only view 50 seconds of the Madonna Vogue clip but I love her grand appearance in the Marie Antoinette dress! :D
