Do you know something of the culture of the french XVIII which is remained in the french tradition nowadays??
for example: mottos, sentences, anecdotes or someone else?

Back in Marie Antoinette's time France was the center of fashion. It is still the center of fashion today with Chanel and many other designers.

I forget the phrase but in order to a call a male a "player"/ "playa" the meaning literally translates to "Skirt chaser"

"Va voir ailleurs si j'y suis." Literally means go someone else and see if I'm there. "À tout à l'huere" is I will see you at _____. One of my favorite phrases is C'est chouette! Which means it/this is neat/cool. J'ai la pêche which means I feel great, literally I have the peach. And to refer to Paris Hilton-er an ugly woman you would C'est un boudin. Literally "it is a blood sausage."

Although I have to say my favorite word/phrase would have to "player". I don't know why I find it amusing, I just do. :D
