 MA's Eyes Hello! I've been searching the internet trying to find a reference to her exact eye color. The paintings seem to show them in blue and green and hazel. I can't find text accounts of her eye color either. Do any of you know?

From what I have read and heard from other posters on this forum...the color of her eyes were most probably blue.

When she was young she was said to have large, bright blue eyes (one of her most attractive features!), but the portraits of her when she is older show her with softer green eyes, with maybe a tinge of blue. Of course, I couldn't tell you the exact color, I'm just going with what I've read and seen!

I have always wanted to have a school project on Marie Antoinette..but I have never been given the chance. Perhaps this year

The project was for a little purse. A customer of mine requested MA with crystals. I wanted to get her eyes right so I turned to the experts... you all! Thanks so much!

Following Madame Vigee Lebrun, her official painter, Marie Antoinette's ayes were "almost blue", which you can see while looking at her portraits. She had grey eyes almost blue, large and slightly buggling. Wonderful.
