This sounds delicious, I can't wait to make it. But can anyone tell me what 'soup of blackcurrant cream' refers to? Perhaps blackcurrant jam? :?

I am fascinated by the flower too, and the smell of it... hum... perfumes and oils with jasmine are exquisite... I love the plant too, I have one in my garden.

White Peony tea is also wonderful! I wonder if M.A. had any peonies, or drank it in tea?

a co worker of mine bought me a tea similar to the one in the movie that Kirsten had with her brother. It's even more beautiful in person when you pour the water over it! Someday I'll throw a girls get together and we'll all be sipping that tea, and eating pastries while shopping for shoes!

She seemed to like flowery foods. Now I'm wondering if she liked white wine?

Same. Jasmine perfume used to be my signture scent! Now, I find it a little too sweet. But I still adore jasmine tea....now I want some!

The tea with the beautiful flower in the Coppolla scene was not actually unveilled until a century after Marie Antoinette lived. It is "one" of the inconsistencies of the film, included only for effect.

It is quite lovely..and something I would however, like to try!

I have had blooming tea flowers before, and I was disappointed. I'll try it again soon, however.

Leave it to Sophia C. Honestly, I'm so sick of that movie...

And did the emperor of China ever send MA anything? Weren't they under isolation at that time?

Apparently she didn't drink any alcohol at all.
