 Furniture of the Queen...
I don't know if this will be of any interest to any of you, but this is actually what first drew me to M.A. I've posted for you some examples of her most beautiful furniture. Enjoy!
Reading/writing/dressing table made for the Queen for the period after her pregnancy:

Beautiful lacquer secrétaire à abattant with matching commode(not shown):

Lovely arm-chair (part of a suite):

Another armchair made for the Queen's meridienne(you can see her dogs carved on the arms!)

Beautiful.
I think Marie's favorite colour was "powder blue".

She had such excellent taste! When I have my dream house, I am going to furnish it in the style of Marie Antoinette!

I just noticed that those two chairs have the same pattern or fabric, just in different colors. Perhaps for the same suite?

No, Monsieur Andre; the first chair (in green) was made for the Queen's dressing room at Saint Cloud (I believe) and the second blue one was made for her meridienne at Versailles.

Here is some furniture from the Queen's bedroom at the Petit Trianon:

They are carved and painted to look like sheaves of wheat, ears of corn, and flowers, emulating the "rustic" taste the Queen favored. There was a matching bed, but it is dissappeared. The tapestry is original, sewn by Marie Antoinette.
Here is a console table from the same room:

Probably in her Petits Apartments at Versailles, although I could be wrong. Pim probably knows.
