Post Catherine de Medici
I appreciate that this is rather 'off message' for a forum devoted to Marie Antionette.

However, I am trying to find someone who knows - or who knows someone else who knows - which artists painted Catherine de Medici, the 16th century queen of France. I know of most of the well known portraits (Clouet etc). But I am particularly interested in late (and possibly lost) portraits of her after she was widowed (ie second half of the 16th century). Doe anyone, for instance, know if Titian painted her (the portrait would now be lost if he had)?

Any thoughts gratefully received.
