Oh. That one. I think it was by Handel and it had the word Reine in it. The name completely escaped me.

i like it because it portraied her innocence and kind nature with out makeing her look really washy.
and i like how she mixed in fact with fiction

Reine...you may very well love this book, I did. The author uses a stream of conscious writing that makes you feel as if you were walking every second with MA through versailles, behind every hidden door, all over the garden ect...I couldn't put it down either, I read the whole thing in a few huge stretches. (like reading until 3:00 AM) Ha!..... I really enjoyed it. I also kept a large book on Versailles near, so I could look at what SJN was describing. It was just like being there with her for all of it. and when it was over...I just felt so horrible...well that is like every MA book....but this was extremely hard to take. It was just so...over,..... so silent.

Oh, I am so happy you will try this book, It really was an "escape" of the dearest kind....being with her like a constant friend. I really think Sena Jeter Nasa succeeded in finding Marie Antoinette's voice... she scoured through her letters, for it....and it is so consistant! Nasa is also a great and descriptive author! Let me know if you like it!...or love it. ( is German your first Language?)
