we must know, that this blue lounge suite was that of the queens antichamber at saintcloud. and is some of the only surviving furniture of MA at saint cloud.

Merci, dear Comte, I did not know this interesting fact. What do we know of Saint-Cloud? Was it sacked and looted by the revolutionaries or taken over for use?

It served as the Napoleans residence, and that of Louis XVIII and Charles X. It later burnt to the ground during the franco prussian war.

this doesn't belong to the Queen but rather Madame Adélaïde, I didn't want to start a new thread on it, I am just now taking a big interest in the furniture, but can anyone tell me what this is in the photo in her Grand cabinet?
