i just thought i would be cool to show some picture of Versailles and Trianon influenced buildings.

File comment: Marble House. Influenced by the Petit Trianon this mansion's dining room is based on the hall of mirrors and has a picture of Louis XIV at the end.

Lovely, thank you for posting! Rosecliff looks very beautiful, although I don't like the lover's staircases, the heart shape... :lol:

really?
i love it but the stairs arent grand enought for me, i preferr this and the one at marble house (sorry i couldent find a picture)

Yes, I prefer this classic, stately look. And don't get me wrong with the lover's staircase, it's more from this front view that I don't like, but the actual stairs themselves are very pretty, it's just the way the walls have been moulded into a heart shape, the front look that I find a bit funny. :lol:

No. it was just built for a grand entrance because Mrs. Oelrich was the society leader of the time and she just HAD to have a grand entrance :]
