Post Aaaahhhh, A real Royal Ball.......
What a Gorgeous Idea! Yes, if I could manage it time wise, I would certainly try to be there, notwithstanding the distance from NZ. And I would like to bring a copy of the MA Bridal Gown with Royal Train, Veil et all....OK? Any opportunity to wear that......Hhhmmm

How much of a dream come true would this be? I hope it could be in Texas, but I really just hope it could be anywhere. The botanical gardens in Fort Worth have an unbelievable aura of Versailles about them. and are filled with thousands of blooming roses in the spring. A white wedding silk tent could be set up, on the lawn, that would be a beautiful setting for such a splendid ball. Wherever it would be, it is and would be the most extraordinary idea in the world. Getting our husbands and boyfriends to dress like Louis for a three day ball...priceless!

I love this idea, and I think it's fabulous that diana could arrange such things, I too see the problem with the prices of things for some of our international members, I living in America now wouldn't have a problem with this. I feel it safe to give at least a year of preperation in order to make such an event possible, one everyone will be looking forward too.
Is a year too much time?

This is a fantastic idea - where else could we "live" the dream than with one another (nobody to iterrupt our 18th century "reality!")

I'm from chicago as well, maybe we can plan something closer to our area as well?

But I'd love to go to this ball. Please keep me updated with info if this is actually going to happen.

We could always have it small within our group of friends, whether they know much about her or not, it is an opportunity to share much of the Queen with them and undo everything people have thought of her.
A tea party is a great idea, and maybe some chocolat chaud, croissants, water with a variety of fruits in them... (I like mine with lemon and sliced strawberries), and maybe some French pastries( I love the pastries). Have your lady friends wear a long white dress like the chemise, and supply them their choice of sashes to wear. So it'll be like a little party at the Petit Trianon but at a local park instead.

I was thinking about something similar.I fell would fell bad for all the younger kids who wouldn't be able to go to New York or whatnot.

If anyone is in the Chicago area or will be let me know, I'd love to set up a little picnic.
