Yes. I admire her so much: I often think about how she faced death and, honestly, I don't think I could do it with such courage.
Of course Revolutionaries had to find a fault in her attitude; I think they probably hoped to see her scared and trembling, and when it didn't happen, they said she went to guillottine with a contemptuous expression and bravado. Actually, she showed an admirable dignity and a moral force. I read that, while she was climbing the stairs to the guillotine, she accidentally went on the execiutioner's feet and she quietly said: "Sorry, Monsieur, I didn't mean it". Her last words...

That "chemise" that you show Versailles is not the one she wore to the execution, it was one she had in the Temple prison. It was displayed in the recent Paris exhibition. The one she wore to the execution was either buried with her or discarded as she was buried naked from memory. The gravediggers undressed her and left her for two or three days naked lying on the grass of the Madeleine cemetery, head between her legs.

The chemise would of course have been bloodstained as well....

This upsets me greatly....I nearly cried with grief and rage.

Everyone who was guillotined was stripped of their clothes by the grave diggers before they were buried, it was procedure.

I find the notion of stripping the clothes rather peculiar. What if those who were guillitoned had contagious skin conditions and the grave diggers got exposed to them?

It was to aid in decomposition, particularly when dealing with mass graves (of the poor before the Revolution and of guillotine victims during). Although Marie Antoinette was not buried in a mass grave, it was standard procedure for people who had been executed and were not being respectably buried by their families. As for picking up nasty diseases... Well, it was never a good job to be a grave digger.

Thank you. I did not put decomposition into consideration.

I'm not shocked that victims were stripped naked, more so that they left the great last Queen of France lying bare before the world for three days, with her head between her legs. How ignominious!
