I would say she's quite favorable to Marie Antoinette. She portrays her as a human being who made mistakes, sometimes very serious ones, but who was at core a strong woman who found unique ways of expressing power and personal autonomy who a court bound by tradition and etiquette and then during the Revolution.

I know this is off topic and I apologize for this, but I have just read a profoundly great book called "A New Earth" by a guy named Eckhart Tolle. It is a MUST read for those interested in truth and personal transformation...

Sincerely,
Ray

Queen of Fashion is an amazing and very interesting book. However, I would only suggest it after reading some biographies or memoirs. It is a wonderful book full of interesting facts about what the queen wore and its affect on her world. I highly recomend it!

Oh,It is a lovely book.
There were many facts that I had no idea about before and majority were fashion related.I do love the biographies but sometimes a more fashion orientated book is needed as light hearted relief from the seriousness of the biographies!!!!!
This is just my opinion but how many people have the book?

Most of us here have read it but I am not sure if we all own it. I own the UK copy (with the La Belle Poule cover instead of Reine de Centefeuilles)
