 Few Questiones
Hello, I`m new here, and I have a few questiones i would like to ask you, since I am still learning about Marie Antoinette (reading a book right now, and have just gotten to the part of storming the Bastilles). Where can I find more photos of the children, all of them? Where can I find photos of MA belongings, rooms and so on? And are there any interessting facts on MA? Have any of you been to Versallies? Pictures? Is the blade that is displayed at Madame Tussaudes in London real?

(By the way, Is my name french?)

(By the way, Is my name french?) Welcome YvonneTheres. Your name is French. Yvonne means "yew wood" and Therese means "from Theresia" (in Greece) You can find many pictures of Marie Antoinette, her children, Versailles and her other lodgings here: http://www.ladyreading.net/marieantoinette/index-en.htmlI would also highly recommend the book "Marie Antoinette Style" by Adrien Gotz http://www.amazon.com/Marie-Antoinette-Adrien-Goetz/dp/284323753X/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1226724098&sr=8-1 and "The Private Realm of Marie Antoinette" by Marie-France Boyer http://www.amazon.com/Private-Realm-Mar ... 216&sr=1-1 for pictures of her homes and belongings. Many interesting facts about Marie Antoinette can be found by reading any of her biographies, the Lady Reading web site mentioned previously or browsing this forum. The blade displayed at Madame Tussauds is not the blade that murdered Marie Antoinette, and neither is it a genuine guillotine from the Revolutionary era.

 Re: Few Questiones
Thank you so much for your answers And I`m happy to know that my name IS accually french And by the way, why would they display the blade as real? that is very rude, because I totally fell for it when i visited the museum.

 Re: Few Questiones
I don't know why they would deceive people into thinking the blade is real. I guess to make money, no?
I'm not sure if the death masks are real. Once again, I highly doubt it.

 Re: Few Questiones
Thank you very much Adrienne, I have already looked trough them And yes, I guess it`s to make money, kind of sad. Silly me fell for both the blade and the masks of Marie A. and Louis XVI But, anyway, thank you so much for all your answers. I really loved looking trough the pictures taken at Versailles ( viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1212&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=30 ). Absolutely wonderful, and the though of Marie A. walking around there gives me goosebumps
