Post Research on Princes and Princesses of the Blood
I am in the process of writing my first historic based novel and was hoping to dedicate a portion discussing a princess of the blood's lifestyle. However, I'm having trouble locating information on what it would have been like to have been raised as a princess of the blood during the 1760's.
If anyone could point out some helpful biographies or articles or even just submit what they know, I would be very grateful.

Look up Mathilde d'Orleans, the Duchesse de Bourbon. There's quite a lot of info on her life.

I read in a biographic book of MA, that in her first Christmas, the royal family gethered and was composed of 21 members. I count:
1. Louis XV
2. Madame du Barry
3. Louis XVI
4. Marie Antoinette
5. Count of Artois
6. Countess of Artois
7. Count of Provence
8. Countess of Provence
9. Madame Clothilde
10. Madame Elisabeth
11, 12. Mesdames Tantes

And the rest?

The honorific "Princes of the blood," refers to not only members of the immediate royal family, but their cousins as well, the junior branches of the House of Bourbon: the Orleanses, Condes, and Contis, who were accorded priveleges and status very near that of the Royal family themselves.

Do you read French? This search on Google Print yields all manner of memoirs:

You'd probably have to pick through and find random details along the way.
