Age of the fans of Marie Antoinette
I am 18 and I'm interested in Marie Antoinette's life since I was 10 ^^.
In Limoges there is nobody whose got the age as me and is interested in this facinating character ! (enven people who are older T_T)
When I start talking of Marie Antoinette my friends always say "Ca y est ! c'est le quart d'heure Marie Antoinette!" (ah they can talk but they do enjoy my stories haha! )

I happen to be so old that I could be your grand-grand-ma, dear ! And my friends look at me like at a rather strange but sweet animal... They call me each time they see something new about Marie-Antoinette, going : "Hi, do you have this ? Ok, I buy it for you !". I just love them with all my heart...

I am 18 years old, and I am the only person who is passionate by Marie-Antoinette in my town! I was 8 when I began to read a lot of books of the French revolution, and I am interested by the Queen since this year. My first biography of her is Marie-Antoinette by Stefan Zweig. And, when I was young, there was Lady Oscar on the TV!

Well my birthday and age were recently up on the forum for everyone to see, I am 28.
But unlike the rest of you I don't think I really became interested in Marie Antoinette until I was 17 or 18, a late bloomer in that respect

I'm sixteen, and I too have the problem of not knowing anyone interested in Marie Antoinette. I hear some of the craziest things about her though, one girl tried to tell me that Antoinette ate babies, drank virgin blood, and when held in prison, devoured her own matress.

I am 54 - if I remember/calculate correctly !!!!!!!!!! I often get it wrong.
I am the same with my children`s and grandchildren`s ages. I have eight children and five little grandchildren - so far - and it is all very confusing - as it will keep changing every year !!!!!!!!
Now historical dates - much easier ... n`est-ce pas ?
Vivienne
PS am I the oldest member of the forum ? ( the one closest to 18th century by birth ....

Then I shall consider myself the matriarch around here ......... and I will of course be exspecting all of the deference etc etc due to me by right of birth.
Now who shall I model myself on .......... les tantes maybe?
Even the Empress perhaps ......... oh yes this could be very enjoyable (for me at least).
And all the rest of you could nod and smile knowingly, or roll your eyes heavenward behind my back !!!!!!!
Excuse me while I just lie down for a while...........

I am thirty-something so I think I belong to this Salon of older Ladies.
You could well be Empress, Dear Vivienne, what a great family you have!
I have not chosen my model. Any suggestions for me? What about you all, who can you be identified with?

I'd like to be madame de Polignac, of course... however, since it's rather presomptuous (she was a beauty, indeed... ), I'd be happy to be Antoinette's carlin (mops).

After considering I have decided that I want to be Madame Cléry (Marie Elizabeth Talvaz Duverge), wife of Hanet (called Cléry)king's servant. She was a harpist, musician to the King and at the Queen's concerts, harp master at Versailles, composer, singer and editor (was that all?). The Clérys did everything they could to comfort the royal family in prison.
