She was a saint, but not without flaws and struggles with herself. Being a saint does not mean she was always right about everything either. But she was valiant and loved God and was faithful to Him until death.

I think that she was a saint, because she loved God and the religion: she was very pious. But she was also an intelligent woman.

Yes, very intelligent. And also cheerful and vivacious!

I could not vote. I think she was very conservative and catholic... but not that she ruined anything, poor Elisabeth !

Is there a way we can combine this thread with the two that others people started afterwards? We now have three discussions going about Madame Elisabeth? There is one in the "Entourage." too

Did she ever speak any word of blame against her brother and sister in law for her fate, or against her nephew who gave false testimony against her? BTW, I am ashamed that I don't know this but did she marry and have children herself?

Elisabeth never married. She had wanted to be a nun. She was thirty when she was killed.

A year younger than I am now :(. It was a horrible end for someone who had, as far as I know, done nothing at all to deserve it :(.

I couldn't vote. She was religious but not a saint.
